Travel Cloud to reach 100 million

It all started in frustration. For sailing organiser More Sailing, trip administration and old-fashioned IT systems were a constant scourge that slowed growth. Managing bookings, payments and compliance quickly became a patchwork of solutions that didn't work together.
βWe struggled with juggling different systems and suppliers, while regulatory requirements only increased. It became a heavy administrative burden that stole time from what we really wanted to do β create unique travel experiences,β says Einar Halldin, founder and CEO of Resemolnet and More Sailing in a press release.
More Sailing decided to build their own business system, and soon they realized that several other tour operators were grappling with similar challenges. It gave birth to the idea of the Travel Cloud: a cloud-based platform that offers small and medium-sized travel companies, a complete, user-friendly solution for bookings and administration, with smart integrations and lower costs than traditional systems. By 2023, the company had a turnover of 3 million and lost one.
In addition to More Sailing, which has more than tripled its turnover since they started using the Travel Cloud, there are a couple of other travel companies on the customer list today. With a broadened ownership list, the founders hope to bring in more of the industry's expertise and give more customers access to the market's premier travel tech.
βNow we want to put the next gear in, start building an organisation with an external CEO and invite more investors, so we can invest even more into developing the product,β says Einar.

Helping them are tech investor Disruptive Ventures and investment company Red Six, led by Fredric Gunnarson, who previously invested in both More Sailing and several other travel companies.
According to him, it has long been difficult for especially smaller players to find affordable and modern IT solutions. He sees huge potential for Travel Cloud, both in the Nordic region and globally:
βWhen we tell others in the industry about the platform, many people spontaneously say they want to switch right away. There is a huge frustration, surprisingly many companies are still sitting and planning their operations in Excel. We aim to generate sales of SEK 100 million in five years, and estimate a potential of SEK 1 billion over ten years. This goal feels achievable given the need in the industry and the feedback we receive,β concludes Fredric Gunnarson.
